Any person who was a participant in SRIP II on December 31, 2004 and who is a police employee on January 1, 2005 shall automatically become a participant in this plan on January 1, 2005 and shall cease being a participant in SRIP II on December 31, 2004. Each other employee who becomes a police employee on or after January 1, 2005 shall become a participant upon their date of employment, or if later, the date they become a police employee.
