A. On-premises signs may be attached to or painted upon the vertical edges of awnings; provided, that such signs do not extend beyond the exterior limits of such edges.

B. On-premises signs may be attached to or painted upon the front sloping or nonvertical portion of awnings if the vertical portion of the awning is less than nine inches in height; provided, that the sign area does not exceed twenty (20) percent of the area of such sloping or nonvertical portion, or three hundred twenty-five (325) square feet, whichever is less.
