The official elevation datum base from which all grades and elevations in the City shall be determined shall be a plane one hundred and forty-nine and 1/10 (149.1) feet below the top of a standard brass United States Coast and Geodetic Survey bench mark disc stamped Berkeley No. 1, 1932, set in the top of a concrete base on the northwest corner of Grove Street and Allston Way, thirty-six feet west of the west curb line of Grove Street and twelve feet north of the north curb of Allston Way. Furthermore, said City elevation datum base shall be described as being three and 17/100 (3.17) feet above U.S. Coast and Geodetic Surveys 1929 adjusted mean sea level as such mean sea level was determined on this monument Berkeley No. 1 by the U.S.C. & G.S. 1956 1st order level net and adjustment.
