A. On that portion of the Berkeley Municipal Pier between the East Shore Highway and the Municipal Wharf, pedestrians shall use the pedestrian lane, which is the most northerly four feet of the pier.

B. On that portion of the Berkeley Municipal Pier lying west of the Municipal Wharf, pedestrians shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles upon the roadway. However, the provisions of this section shall not relieve the driver of a vehicle from the duty to exercise due care for the safety of any pedestrian upon the pier.

C. The provisions of subsection A of this section shall not apply in cases of emergency or to persons who are employed to perform work or labor upon said pier. (Ord. 2282-NS § 17, 1939)
