In the event that any member shall become separated from the service voluntarily or involuntarily for any reason whatsoever, and such member or their spouse, surviving spouse, children, dependent parents or beneficiaries, shall not be entitled to any benefits under this chapter, then all monies paid into the fund by such member shall be returned to them or their beneficiaries without interest.
