The permittee shall begin the work or use authorized by a permit issued pursuant to this chapter within ninety days from the date of issuance unless a different period is stated in the permit, or an extension of time is granted by the Assistant City Manager for Public Works. If the work or use is not begun accordingly, the permit shall become void. Before starting work on which an inspector is required, the permittee shall notify the Assistant City Manager for Public Works twenty-four hours in advance of beginning such work.
