Wherefore, the Council hereby provides for the establishment of a residential permit parking district in the area as follows:

Street parking in the area shall be limited to a maximum of two hours during the period between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. except on Sundays and holidays or such shorter time period as may be specifically posted; provided, however, that unlimited parking shall be allowed by vehicles for which a residential, visitor’s, or local business parking permit has been obtained and displayed in accordance with requirements of Berkeley Municipal Code Chapter 14.72.
