Every person, firm or corporation conducting any hospital or pharmacy within the City, or the managing agent thereof, or the person managing or in charge of such hospital or pharmacy or in charge of any ward of part of such hospital to which shall come or be brought any person or persons suffering or apparently suffering a toxic reaction to any drug, food, mineral or other substance, other than the variations anticipated in response to approved medical treatment, and every physician or surgeon who has such a person under their charge or care, shall report the same immediately both by telephone and in writing to the Chief of Police or to the person in charge of the Police Department of the City. Such report shall state where such poisoned person is located, the name of such person if known, and the character and extent of such poisoning. (Ord. 3746-NS § 1, 1960)
