In addition to the penalties imposed, any person who fails to remit any license fee imposed by this chapter shall pay simple interest at the rate of one percent per month on the amount of the fee and penalties from the date on which the license fee first became delinquent. Interest shall continue to accrue at the simple interest rate of one percent per month and will be assessed on the 1st day of every month that an account remains delinquent until paid.
