The purpose of this chapter is to reduce energy use, water consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions in existing buildings. These efficiency and emission reduction improvements will lower energy and water costs, transition buildings away from the use of fossil fuels, and increase comfort, safety and health for building occupants.
